Where do the animals come from?
All of our animals originate from The Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC).  MADACC is responsible for impounding and housing all of the stray animals found within Milwaukee County.  Animals are held for a minimum of 7 days and after they are released, become eligible for the adoption program. 

What is included in the adoption fee?
The adoption fee for all pets is $100 and includes the following:
  • Spay/Neuter
  • Microchip
  • Vaccinations
  • FELV/FIV test - felines
  • Heartworm test - canines
  • Preventative treatment for fleas and worms
  • Cat carrier - feline
  • Leash - canine
  • Free vet visit
  • 30 days pet health insurance
Where and when can I view available animals for adoption?
Cats are available for viewing at the primary adoption center located on the upper level of Southridge Mall.  Click here for directions. It is open Saturdays from noon-4, Sundays from noon-6 and Tuesdays and Wednesdays from noon-7 or by appointment.  Cats are also available for viewing at Petsmart during open hours.
Dogs are available for viewing by appointment and as scheduled at Petsmart.

How do I submit an adoption application?
Download our adoption application here and fax to 414-421-8801 or deliver to the adoption center during open hours.  Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received.  Emailed applications will not be processed.
