CARAC believes that the only way to overcome the pet overpopulation crisis in our community is through large scale, reasonably priced spay/neuter opportunities. Members of our organization recently attended the national spay/neuter conference in Memphis, Tennessee where we were the only representatives from Wisconsin. The information learned was invaluable and in-line with what we already believe and know to be true: THE ONLY WAY TO END PET OVERPOPULATION AND NURTURE SAFE, HEALTHY COMMUNITIES IS THROUGH LARGE SCALE, ACCESSIBLE SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAMS.

In the 1970s and 1980s, we tried to euthanize our way out of the problem. In the 1990s we tried to adopt our way out of the problem. It isn't working. Intake numbers are maintaining and, in some cases, increasing at our local shelters. While we have no intentions of slowing down our adoption program, we need YOUR help to accomplish our long-term goal of ending unnecessary euthanasia. Please support our initiative to "Spay/Neuter Wisconsin" and end the pet overpopulation crisis in our state.
